MINGLE MANGLE

Nine Angels Gate Cultural Center Studio Artists and their collaborators respond to the concept of sound intake.
These artists work in a variety of media including various printmaking techniques, sculpture, video, assemblage, handmade instruments, built ecosystems, and sound media.
A narrative soundtrack is composed mostly of impressionistic reflections, by the artists about their pieces. The visitor is invited, through attuned listening, to explore iridescent and shifting overlaps, as the nonspecificity of reflection mingles with the concrete presence of art. What results may veer between conceptual amplification and a tangy mangle of misplaced perceptions.
