MINGLE MANGLE
Gallery show, May 13 - June 17:
Onomatopoeia
For this exhibition I wish to explore the idea of onomatopoeia, the use of words to describe sounds, expanding this concept to use imagery to describe sound. Using a Cybernetic Model KB 20 digital display, words such as “bang”, “pow” and “zing” scroll by in relation to abstract images mounted below. The viewer is left with symbols of sound with no actual sonic representation.
