soundpedro2023 ACE [artist curated events]
Online presentations during the month of October 2023.

Submissions are open Sunday, July 2 - Sunday, September 3, 2023.

Artist notification by mid-September.

FLOOD seeks proposals for self-produced Audio and Video presentations of sound art installations, performances, and more.... (up to one hour in length).
Each Artist may propose one project.

Artists are responsible for ALL aspects of the production. FLOOD will display the final presentation on the soundpedro.org website, via our YouTube channel, and promote on our social media outlets.

THINGS TO KNOW & DO BEFORE APPLYING:

For artists new to soundpedro

• It is important that artists understand that soundpedro is a sound art event and not a music event.

For all artists

• For 2023 we are primarily seeking audio and video presentations, but we are open to other presentation modes - live stream, zoom, etc. Please contact Marco to discuss prior to submitting.
• Artist is responsible for ALL expenses, including: production, travel, venue, etc. FLOOD will write letters of recommendation for those artists seeking funds elsewhere.
• FLOOD's Proposal Review
  FLOOD will review your proposal and will email you our decision.
  If we have questions, we may contact you via the email or phone number in your submission.
• Terms & Conditions
  Production expenses are the responsibility of the artist. FLOOD will write letters of recommendation for those artists seeking funds elsewhere.
  If you are invited to be a participant in soundpedro, your name, likeness, as well as your work may be used for publicity purposes and materials related to this event, including, but not limited to, press releases, advertising, social media, publications, recordings, and soundpedro related websites.
  By submitting your application electronically, you authorize the use of your name, likeness and work for the above-mentioned purpose. Please note that all other personal information (address, telephone numbers, etc.) is strictly for internal use.

Non-acceptance, in many cases, is not reflective of the quality of the artwork submitted. Reasons for non-acceptance may include:

• The submission did not follow the guidelines.
• The work did not appear to be completely realized.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

You may submit One proposal.

To complete your submission you will need:

1. Artist contact info. Required
2. Artist information for soundpedro website/PR: Bio, and One photographic image of the artist. Required for artists new to soundpedro
   Image can be jpeg, jpg or png format, at least 1920 pixels minimum on longest edge. (mobile phone photos OK).
3. Proposed work information: Title, Description, Size, etc. Required
4. For Audio only submission(s), please provide Final recording in audio mp3 or wav file format. Required
5. For Video submission(s), please provide Final video in mov, mp4, or m4v file file format. Final video render should be 1920 x 1080 pixels Required
6. We are open to other presentation modes - live stream, zoom, etc. Please contact Marco to discuss prior to submitting.
7. Graphics for promotional purposes. Optional, but preferable.
