Agî
Amabelle Aguiluz will offer Agî, a sound performance, within her art installation at Flux Art Space, Long Beach.
Agî (meaning current), will explore how water heals the body and mind. The project focuses on harmonic frequencies of water sounds that can alter states of consciousness, inclining the mind toward calm, peace, and relaxation. Field recorded water sounds from daily life, along with sound patterns of ocean wave recordings, will be collaged with live acoustic sounds to create a meditative sonic space.

"waves" is a site-specific sculpture and sound installation that explores how water heals the body and mind. The project focuses on harmonic frequencies of water sounds that can alter states of consciousness to find calmness, peace, and relaxation. Field recorded water sounds from daily life along with sound patterns of ocean wave recordings will be collaged with live acoustic sounds to create a meditative sonic space. The hope of the installation is to create a healing space and connect to the present moment.

About the Artist:
Amabelle Aguiluz is a multidisciplinary artist whose work in fiber, installation, sculpture, and performance has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Her work is deeply rooted and connected to the body, sound, nature, and plants.
