The Boom Boom Room

The Box of Boom is an interactive drum machine that is controlled by attendees using an arcade style controller. The Boom Boom Room concept is to expand from the original Box of Boom, which was contained within an abstract Boombox structure, into a deconstructed version that is spread throughout the interior of a room. In this case, the attendee is controlling drums that surrounds them throughout the room and also utilizes the acoustics of the room to create interesting sonic experiences for those present. The player of the machine will get to experience the immediate response of hitting buttons to control beats and percussive sounds within the space through looping or pre-sampled sequences.
